Arboretum - Toddler Trails
- Arboretum's Himalayan Cedars Carpark, Himalayan Cedar Road, Canberra
Service Description
Meet at the Arboretum's Himalayan Cedars carpark (Himalayan Cedar Road). We will enjoy a climb around the iconic Wide Brown Land sculpture with views across the arboretum. Then wonder along a trail, down into the 100 year old himalayan cedar forest to explore the forest area. We can stop in the shady picnic area for some morning tea before heading back to the carpark. Toddler Trails have been created with your increasingly independent child in mind. As kids find their feet, many prefer to be out of the baby carrier and would rather push their pram than ride in it. Toddler Trails allows your child the freedom to explore on their own two legs, while you get some outdoor and social time with other parents/carers. MEETING POINT: Arboretum's Himalayan Cedars Carpark (Himalayan Cedar Road). MAXIMUM NUMBERS: Sessions are limited to 15 adults. Due to the popularity of Toddler Trails - you are required to book a spot via the MEGA app WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothes and footwear for walking and active play. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and healthy snacks. Sometimes the forest area gets a few mozzie, so consider bringing some long pants and insect repellent. FITNESS LEVEL: This event is suitable for parents/carers of all fitness levels. Mums, we recommend you obtain your 6 week clearance from your medical practitioner prior to walking. BABIES & CHILDREN: This event is suitable for parents/carers who are baby wearing or have children who are walking. Meet & Move sessions aim to help parents/carers and their children be active together. COVID GUIDELINES: Physical distancing is required and do not attend if you or your children are unwell, or anyone in your household is awaiting the results of a COVID test.
