Black Mountain Peninsula 1.1km loop walk - Great for lakeside water play, spotting water birds, riding bikes and scooters, pram-friendly, big open green space, toilet and BBQ facilities and a playground. Join us in exploring Black Mountain Peninsula. Starting at the car park on John Cardiff Close, we’ll join the bike/cycle path. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for ducklings, swans and sleepy possums in the trees as we explore. Planned walk is 1.1km returned. This walk is pram friendly. Toddler Trails have been created with your increasingly independent child in mind. As kids find their feet, many prefer to be out of the baby carrier and would rather push their pram than ride in it. Toddler Trails allows your child the freedom to explore on their own two legs, while you get some outdoor and social time with other parents/carers. WHERE TO MEET: Dirt car park on John Cardiff Close, Acton. John Cardiff Close is a right turn off Garry Owen Drive, then take the first left off John Cardiff Close into the first car park area. WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothes and footwear for walking and active play. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and healthy snacks. FITNESS LEVEL: This event is suitable for parents/carers of all fitness levels. Mums, we recommend you obtain your 6 week clearance from your medical practitioner prior to walking. BABIES & CHILDREN: This event is suitable for parents/carers who are baby wearing or have children who are walking. Meet & Move sessions aim to help parents/carers and their children be active together. COVID GUIDELINES: Do not attend if you or your children are unwell.
