Evatt Wetlands - Toddler Trails

  • Croke Place, Evatt

Service Description

Join us in exploring the green corridor following part of Ginninderra Creek in Evatt. For a change we’ll be walking on a foot/bike path - so families are welcome to bring prams if required. We’ll cross a footbridge over the creek to reach our snack stop at a playground. This is a longer walk than usual at 1.5km (return). There’s also a second playground at our meeting spot at Croke Place for anyone who wishes to continue to play at the end of the session. Toddler Trails have been created with your increasingly independent child in mind. As kids find their feet, many prefer to be out of the baby carrier and would rather push their pram than ride in it. Toddler Trails allows your child the freedom to explore on their own two legs, while you get some outdoor and social time with other parents/carers. MEETING POINT: Car park at Croke Place, Evatt (McKellar seems to work in some navigation too!). Croke Place is off William Webb Drive. Map tinyurl.com/4ehw5vnp MAXIMUM NUMBERS: Sessions are limited to 15 adults. Due to the popularity of Toddler Trails - you are required to book a spot via the MEGA app WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothes and footwear for walking and active play. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and healthy snacks. FITNESS LEVEL: This event is suitable for parents/carers of all fitness levels. Mums, we recommend you obtain your 6 week clearance from your medical practitioner prior to walking. BABIES & CHILDREN: This event is suitable for parents/carers who are baby wearing or have children who are walking. Meet & Move sessions aim to help parents/carers and their children be active together.
