Toddler Trail - Namarag
- Coppins Crossing Rd, Molonglo Valley ACT 2611
Come along to one of Canberra's newest reserves, Namarag. Located along the Molonglo River, we will walk along a pram and pushbike friendly dirt access road enjoying views of the river while crossing over Butters Bridge. We will have an explore and snack break at the amazing Bidjiwang nature playground. This walk is 2.7km out and back and is quite a bit longer then our usual walks. Best suited for older toddler or bring a pram, carrier or pushbike. Please dress for the weather - this area is a little bit exposed. We will likely see some diggers, trucks and other machines on the hills around. Toddler Trails have been created with your increasingly independent child in mind. As kids find their feet, many prefer to be out of the baby carrier and would rather push their pram than ride in it. Toddler Trails allows your child the freedom to explore on their own two legs, while you get some outdoor and social time with other parents/carers. WHERE TO MEET: Dirt car park off John Gorden Drive/ Coppins Crossing Road on the Denman Prospect side of Coppins Crossing bridge. If coming from Belconnen, go past Coppins Crossing and the car park will be on the right once you get back up the hill. If coming from Weston Creek the car park will be on your left after you pass Denman Prospect. It might be a little tricky to find, please have a look in advance and let me know if you have questions. MAXIMUM NUMBERS: Sessions are limited so please book your spot via the MEGA app and update your attendance through the app if unable to make it. WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothes and footwear for walking and active play. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and healthy snacks.
