Tuggeranong Stone Walls - Toddler Trail
- Carpark of the Lakeside Leisure Centre, Bartlet Place, Greenway ACT 2900
Service Description
Tuggeranong Stone Walls - 1km out and back Join us in walking part of Canberra’s history - the stone walls. The Tuggeranong Boundary Wall is a historical wall of stacked stones. It was built by early British settlers in the region between 1867 and 1875 and marked the boundary between two huge properties. Meeting at the carpark at the Lakeside Leisure Centre, we’ll cross over Athllon Drive and join the trail to explore the Stone Wall. This is an out-and-back walk of 1km. Great location for spotting kangaroos. Toddler Trails have been created with your increasingly independent child in mind. As kids find their feet, many prefer to be out of the baby carrier and would rather push their pram than ride in it. Toddler Trails allows your child the freedom to explore on their own two legs, while you get some outdoor and social time with other parents/carers. WHERE TO MEET: We meet in the carpark of the Lakeside Leisure Centre (enter via Bartlet Place, Greenway). Meeting place is the carpark area closest to the corner of Athllon Drive and Anketell Street.
