Umbagong District Park - Toddler Trails

  • Entry opposite 87 Florey Drive, MacGregor ACT 2615

Service Description

Umbagong District Park 1.1km out-and-back walk - Great for exploring an urban park, nature play along the way, playground with seating and pram friendly. NOTE: check whether boardwalks are open first. Join us in exploring Umbagong District Park, which sits between the suburbs of Latham and MacGregor. Ginninderra Creek winds it way through this 65 hectare urban green space which is home to a significant native grassland area and lots of birdlife. Our walk will follow the path and boardwalk for 500m before arriving at a playground. There’s also a bridge over the creek to explore. After a good play and snack time we’ll head back to the start. Pram-friendly session. Toddler Trails have been created with your increasingly independent child in mind. As kids find their feet, many prefer to be out of the baby carrier and would rather push their pram than ride in it. Toddler Trails allows your child the freedom to explore on their own two legs, while you get some outdoor and social time with other parents/carers. WHERE TO MEET: Car Park at Umbagong District Park, MacGregor side. Enter off Florey Drive, MacGregor. Entrance is across the road from 87 Florey Drive, MacGregor. Map MAXIMUM NUMBERS: Sessions are limited so please book your spot via the MEGA app and update your attendance through the app if unable to make it. WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothes and footwear for walking and active play. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and healthy snacks. FITNESS LEVEL: This event is suitable for parents/carers of all fitness levels. Mums, we recommend you obtain your 6 week clearance from your medical practitioner prior to walking.
